The Velux Commercial Sun Tunnel is the most economical way to bring natural light into a commercial space. Each Commercial Sun Tunnel is estimated to adequately light between 150 to 400 square feet of floor space --depending on the length of the tunnel, the orientation of the roof (when sloped), and geographical location. This model is designed specifically for suspended ceiling systems in commercial buildings and for low-slope roof installations up to 30° from horizontal.

Easy and fast installation. The Commercial SunTunnel is composed of a curb-cap style flashing to better accommodate the preferred flashing method on commercial roofs. The TCR is installed on top of a pressure treated site-built (8inch minimum) curb just like any other curb mounted skylight.

1. Roofing components (p1)
   • exterior dome - MC grade A acrylic plexiglass, 0.125inches thick, injection molded
   • flashing system - one piece, self-flashing, 24gauge Zincalume and Luran S778 Acrylonitrille-styrene-acrylate polymer. Attachment to site built curb with eight 1.75inch self-tapping screws. Acceptable for roof slopes ranging from 0 to 30°.
   • fasteners - Exterior dome to flashing system, No.8 x 0.5inch, corrosion-resistant, self-tapping screws. Rigid elbow to telescopic tunnel and telescopic tunnel to flexible flashing, No.8 x 0.5inch, corrosion resistant, pierce point, self-drilling screw.
   • rigid elbow - 22inch nominal outside diameter and 33inches in length with Alanod PVD coated aluminum, MIRO-27, 95% total reflectance, 24-gauge thickness. Telescopic tunnel is factory assembled and fastened with rivets along vertical seam.
2. Telescopic rigid tunnel (p3) can be extended to 5 feet
   • rigid telescopic tunnel - Metalized polyester, fiberglass scrim and spring steel wire, 22inch nominal outside diameter, 24-inches in length meeting the requirements of ASTM E84-03a. Flexible tunnel function as expansion joint for tubular daylighting system and permits alignment flexibility when positioning ceiling adapter assembly into acoustical tile ceiling.
3. Ceiling components (p2)
   • ceiling adapter assembly for suspended tile ceilings and finished ceilings; White ABS thermoplastic, dimension at the top of the assembly is 21.25inch diameter, dimensions at the bottom of 23.875inch x 23.875inch square, 9.25inch overall height tested in accordance with ASTM D635 and ASTM D1929. Interior surface - white diffuse. Adaptor assembly is factory attached to flexible tunnel, and houses prismatic diffuser and steel diffuser frame. Adaptor assembly designed for installation in standard acoustical tile ceiling system.
   • interior prismatic light diffuser - 21.5inch x 21.5inch, clear prismatic, K-12, acrylic to maximize light output and diffusion. Diffuser housed in white steel frame that is removable from ceiling adapter assembly for cleaning.

Meets OSHA fall protection requirements.

The Commercial Sun Tunnel comes with components for up to an 8foot run. Additional components are available to extend the range from 3feet to 20feet.
