Prevents flow from reversing intended direction. Cast Brass body and cap. Machined brass disc. Rated 200CWP. NSF/ANSI 61 compliant. Actuated by #316 stainless steel spring.

Can be installed vertically or horizontally.

When properly installed in a solar hot water system, a check-valve prevents convection flow of hot water that can sometimes occur at night time. Unchecked convection of hot water can trigger a circulator pump to start from a false warm reading of a solar panel sensor, cooling previously heated water.
