Attic Fan, Solar
Attic ventilator fan, solar powered, self contained

A Fan-Attic helps remove hot air and reduces the workload on cooling and air-conditioning equipment by as much as 50 percent. This helps to make your home a much more comfortable place. Attic fan vents heat from sunrise to sunset. The Fan-Attic operates in direct proportion to the sun's position in the sky. Because of this, the Fan-Attic's fan provides the right amount of ventilating power at any given time of day. The Fan-Attic is ideal for homes, cabins garages, mobile homes, storage spaces, sheds or any enclosed area needing better air circulation.
Can pay for itself within two years of operation.
The Fan-Attic is a self contained unit. Components include a photovoltaic module, shroud cover, fan motor/blade assembly with support brackets, roof flashing/base and mesh screen. The PV Module is sealed to the top side of an 18.75-inch diameter ABS Korad-coated shroud cover using Dow Corning 795 Silicone Building Sealant.
- Shroud support comes from four 16-guage Cover Brackets and fastened by four No.10 x 3/4 inch screws to the verticle perimeter of the shroud cover.
- Two W-brackets hold a 38-volt DC motor and 12-inch aluminum, 3-blade fan assembly inside the vertical section of the base. The top edge of the vertical base houses a galvanized mesh screen.
- A 24-inch square horizontal section formed to the base creates a single roof flashing/base unit.
- Two 18-awg. lead wires from the junction box on the underside of the PV module are routed down the outer side of the vertical base, through a rubber grommet to the inside of the lower section.
- 1/8th-inch nylon ties secure the wires to the W Brackets and are then attached to the positive and negative motor terminals by two 0.25-inch female wire connectors
