HM5000C Helio-Matic® Controller

for 1-HP at 240VAC or 3/4HP at 120VAC pump and/or 24VAC valve

Basically, it's as simple as setting a thermostat. Simply set the desired water temperature on the Helio-Matic® Electronic Controller. Two precision sensors, one for the pool water, and one simulating the solar collector, signal the controller when climate conditions are right for the water to be heated. If the water temperature is not above the desired setting, the controller opens the Flo-Verter® Valve, sending water through the solar collectors, gathering warmth and returning to the pool. When the desired temperature is reached, the controller automatically closes the operating valve. Sensors sold separately.

Sensors (sold separately)

The standard sensors are one AS-2-10 aluminum sensor for collector simulation and one IS-1.0 sensor which is clamp inserted into a drilled hole in 1.5 or 2.0 inch pipe. If a glazed collector is used, use an SAS-10 sensor instead of the AS-2-10. Other alternate sensors include the BP-25-10 and BP-50-10.
