Produces emergency electric power during utility power failures to keep essential heating/cooling systems, pumps, lighting, and office equipment operating.

Generators: Designed for outdoor use only as a permanently installed, standby power source. They require an automatic transfer switch to ensure that vital electric loads are maintained without manual intervention. When a complete power loss or brown-out condition exists, generator cranks, starts and transfers specific load circuits to generator output. Transfer switch re-transfers loads back to the utility source when normal power is restored. Automatic transfer switch is mounted indoors near incoming electrical distribution panel. Units require the use of a 12V, automotive-type storage battery, not included. Features:

Engines: Can be fueled with either natural gas or liquid propane (LP). Units should be installed by a qualified electrician or contractor. A strict maintenance schedule of oil/filter changes, filter checks, tune ups, and battery checks is required to ensure safe and reliable operation of the generator. Installation may require local permits for gas piping, concrete foundation, electrical inspection and approval. Check with local building codes prior to selection and/or beginning installation. Main circuit breaker protects the generator from overload.
Hour meter-monitors operating time for scheduled maintenance.
